Shipping Rates
Canada
We are connected to Canada Post's online, real time
shipping calculating super computer somewhere in Eastern
Canada. The rates that your are being charged are what
Canada Post is telling you, in real time, what it's
going to cost you. We aren't jacking up the rates, yadda,
yadda, yadda. Seriously save your whiny emails about
the freight rates, they are what they are.
Send your Aunt Gertie a 10 pound box of something, with
insurance and let us know how much it cost you, you'll
see we're not making this stuff up as we go along.
U.S and Abroad
U.S. and International customers, the same applies for
you. USPS and Canada Post rates are calculated by the
same super computer at Canada Post. If you have an issue
with the rates, call USPS are the Pony Express or the
guy that delivers the mail on his water buffalo and
complain, don't tell us about your online shopping experiences
on Ebay and "this only cost me that much to ship
from California to Florida" and blah blah blah.
We are shipping precious cargo, albeit dangerous goods,
so we pack it carefully and insure it so you can claim
damages if USPS uses it for a football. Canada to the
US is a long way and it costs more than the $5 you claim
that it should. Get real here people. We're all adults,
we know what things cost in the real world.
Uncle Big, where the hell is my order??
**Updated, December 1st, 2008** Cold
weather warning! Still in effect from here 'til eternity**!
Just
so you know that carriers (Canada
Post, UPS, CanPar, etc) DO NOT offer heated service
and with the recent Arctic weather in most of North
America, there is the possibility of product freezing
during transit.
We are in no way liable, responsible or able to do anything
about frozen packages, as package carriers will not
honor frozen product as a "damage in transit",
it's considered an "act of God", so apparently
you'll have to blame God. (JUST KIDDING).
**Claims
for damage in transit are the responsibility of the
receiver (that's you) as we are unable to instigate
a claim on your behalf. Therefore, if the box is damaged,
take pictures inside and out. If the box has no exterior
damage, take photos of the interior of the box as you
will need them for the claim. As well, please refer
to the aforementioned "Cold
Weather Warning" in the above paragraphs.**
Shipping Times
are as follows: Products
that are in stock will be shipped within 48-72 hours.
If a product is out of stock, you will be advised as
to the soonest shipping date possible. With the plethora
of orders we receive, it's near impossible to keep our
online inventory insync with our actual brick and mortar
store inventory numbers. We do our best, but we are
after all, only human.
All shipping times are dependent on the shipping company.
As always we are at their mercy which can be impacted
by weather, holidays, blah, blah blah.
Rule
of thumb, 5-7 business days in Canada, up
to 15 business days to the United States via postal
service.
International Orders may take up to 8 weeks to
arrive at their destination and customers will be contacted
prior to the shipping of the product so make sure your
email address is valid!!
The Canada Post shipping drop down in the shopping cart
will give you your actual freight charge, with delivery
time options.
Any
and all brokerage fees, import duties and brokerage
surcharges will be paid by the customer but is not included
in your checkout total. Please check with your local
authorities for those rates.
Once you click
CHECKOUT in the shopping
cart, you will be magically transported to BeanStream
Internet Payment Processing. You can shop with total
confidence and security, they have 128 Bit SSL Encryption
and all of that other good stuff.

If you're one
of those people that don't trust the internet, and would
rather order via phone and speak to someone in person,
please feel free to contact us at 403-735-6022 or send
our sales department an email.
Our customer service people will gladly take your order
and payment information in that format.
